Ya it's been a pretty rainy summer, but this car can get topless in 30 seconds which is probably quicker than you can. So you can put the top down, drive to work or the store and run the top back up when you get there to make it secure and water tight in case there is rain in the forecast while you are away from it.
Others are asking $10,000 - $13,000 for similar mileage and condition, the difference is I'm actually interested in SELLING this car, not waiting around to see how much someone is willing to pay for it. So I'm trying to stay closer to what KBB says it is worth.
It has power everything and everything works:
6 way Drivers Seat
Drivers and Front Passenger Heated Seats
Light Tan Leather Front and Rear Bucket Seats. No cracks, cuts or tears
Drivers and Passengers Front and Side Airbags
Power Adjust Foot Pedals
Cold A/C
Very strong heater for those cool days that you still want the top down (there isn't a lot of wind in the cabin with the top down, so cruising on a 40 degree day with the top down and heat on is a real option)
Rear glass window with defrost
Vanity Mirrors in both sun visors (sorry, not lighted)
In dash CD changer
Original Owners Manual
2 key fobs. One works all the time, the second doesn't always work
Peppy 3.5L V6
4 Speed Automatic
18” Alloy Wheels
Handles great on a curvy road and is a quiet touring car on the highway
Driving/Fog Lights
Trunk is HUGE with the top up. When putting the top down the trunk space is reduced considerably but it is still big enough for a blanket, some extra shoes, and other items that can lay relatively flat.
Car was de-badged by previous owner other than the Pontiac emblem on the front grill. I kind of liked it this way but if you want the badges back on it they are available online pretty cleap and just stick on.
Maintenance:
This car has been very reliable for the 3 years we have owned it. The oil has been changed every 3000-4000 miles with full synthetic. It will need the next oil change in about 1500 miles if you continue that replacement schedule, or go longer if you believe in longer oil change intervals with synthetic.
The items we have replaced on the car are:
Brand New Bridgestone WeatherPeak Tires (over $1000 alone)
Front right ABS sensor cable just replaced
New Battery Jan 2024
Coolant reservoir had small crack and was replaced
New Rear Brakes about a year ago. Front Brakes inspected, lots of pad left
Front Sway Bar Bushings were replaced
The large X-Brace under the car that gives the convertible its rigidity was nearly rusted through in spots due to a GM defect in the design of this part that allowed water to pool inside it. Even on rust free G6 GT’s this will be a common problem, but you have to get under the car to see it. Look before you buy! I fabricated and installed a new X-Brace that corrected the factory defect. This was done professionally - I work at a metal fabrication shop.
Body condition:
Other than that X-Brace that was replaced the rest of the car has absolutely NO RUST. This car is super clean. I was told the previous two owners only drove it in the summer. We have driven it the last two winters but washed it regularly and kept it in a heated garage so snow melted off it every night.
There are two small door dings in the body and a scuff in the paint that didn't even show up in the photos but I can point out in person (you probably wont see them until I do). The drivers door has a small dent low on the door. The other is a smaller but more noticeable ding right below the body line on the passenger side rear quarter. There is also one slight scuff, probably from a snow scraper, on the trunk lid.
The rear bumper cover has just been professionally repainted. Someone had backed into it in a parking lot. No structural damage to the car or the bumper but it was enough to crack the clear coat on the bumper. It was just repaired by a local body shop and looks like new.
Extras include:
A Parade Bench for the back seat. Use it for Homecoming, Prom, or just drive your favorite Queen around the block (smile and wave).
Original Headlights. These were replaced by the previous owner and he gave me the originals as spares. They do have a slight fog to them.
Weather Tech Floor Mats in the front. Unfortunately Weather Tech doesn't make the ones for the back seat so we found some nice black rubber mats for that instead.
It's all cleaned up and waiting for you to drive it home. I work during the day so I probably won't respond to inquiries until early evening. I may negotiate on that price a little (cash?), but please don't try to lowball me, it's already priced to move. Serious inquiries only.
